Where appropriate, we liaise with your GP or specialist and may arrange independent input from New Zealand-registered medical practitioners to ensure the overseas treating team receives the information needed for consideration.
Suitability Assessment
Where additional review is required, further assessment is undertaken by the treating medical providers or appropriately qualified practitioners.
During this stage, relevant clinical information may be reviewed, including the proposed procedure, treatment goals, medical history and lifestyle factors.
Where necessary, Promedour™ may assist in obtaining medical records or reports from your general practitioner or specialist to support this process. Certain procedures, such as orthopaedic or ophthalmic surgery, may require formal medical clearance prior to scheduling.
All clinical assessment, suitability determination and treatment planning remain the responsibility of the treating medical providers. Promedour™ coordinates the administrative aspects of this process.
Hospital Matching & Cost Outline
You receive a structured treatment plan including recommended hospital, named surgeon, estimated costs, and proposed timeframe.
Travel Coordination
Upon confirmation, we secure your procedure date and manage hospital scheduling, accommodation, transfers, and logistics.
Treatment & On Ground Support
Upon arrival, our travel partners assist with airport and hotel transfers and hospital logistics. Patients will meet their surgeon for consultation to review the procedure, confirm the treatment plan and address any final questions prior to treatment.
Some procedures require a short hospital stay, after which recovery continues at the hotel accommodation, we have pre arranged. Throughout the process, the Promedour™ Care Team remains available to provide guidance and coordination at every stage of the journey.
